JOB SUMMARY: The Nursing Office Clerical Assistant is responsible for completing the job responsibilities stated below professionally and promptly. The Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the management of the non-clinical aspects of the Nursing Office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Proficient in computer skills
- Ability to speak clearly and answer phones in a professional manner
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Maintains a working relationship with the LPN, RN &
- Maintains a working relationship with all other nursing
- Maintains a professional relationship with all residents, families, physicians, & other service providers.
- Maintains confidentiality of verbal and written information about residents, facility operations, and other personnel.
- Maintains resident's privacy and
- Encourages residents to maintain their
- Has a complete understanding of fire, emergency, and safety
- Answers phones, checks messages, take messages & forwards to appropriate personnel.
- Checks fax messages and forwards them to appropriate personnel
- Fax reports to Medical physicians as directed by LPN,
- Schedules Medical appointments & transportation arrangements for residents.
- Create and deliver appointment reminders to
- Assure resident emergency packets are updated and maintained in resident's rooms & in the nursing office.
- Thin charts according to thinning
- Filing reports/records in the medical
- Notify the administrator when the office or medical supplies are getting
- Adheres to policies and procedures, and standards regarding infection
- Deliver supplies and equipment to
- Abides by established guidelines of the facility and governing
- Any other responsibilities deemed necessary by the
